About

Fabrication is Our Priority

Svee Metalworks was founded by Ole Svee in 1947. At that time, Ole's services were limited to light sheet metal and furnace work. In 1960, Ole shifted away from installation and became a supplier to contractors.

He purchased a spiral machine from his native land, Norway, and brought the machine to Eau Claire, WI. At the time, Oslo was the only place to get these machines, and ours was one of only 19 in the entire U.S. Ole decided to change the name to Midstate Tubeforming to reflect the business' new direction.

Leonard Svee, his oldest son, purchased the business in 1970 and operated it until his retirement in 1990. Leonard's brother Olav and wife, Gail, purchased the business and returned the name back to the original; Svee Metalworks. Olav and Gail operated the business until their recent retirement in 2002.

Today, Svee Metalworks is owned and operated by Olav and Gail's son Dan Svee. We continue the pipe-making tradition with all associated fittings but also do a considerable amount of custom fabrication.

As a small shop with quality being our top priority, we strive to continue the family tradition of a quality product at a competitive price; no job is too big or too small.

We supply contractors and home shops alike with the same quality products. We have 60" main trunk lines on the roofs of cabinet factories, and we have 6" main lines in the home hobbyist's shops. Large or small, they get the same product and service.
